An epidemic presents a challenge very different from an ordinary individual case. Rather than looking at one patient in isolation, we must observe a much larger picture as patterns emerge across multiple cases. Certain symptoms may appear repeatedly, while others may be unusual or peculiar. The epidemic picture itself may also change as the disease develops. The challenge for the homoeopath is to observe these patterns carefully and determine what is truly characteristic of the epidemic. This is where a clear understanding of epidemic methodology becomes essential. During this webinar, Jeremy will explore how epidemic prescribing differs from individual case prescribing, how epidemic pictures develop and change, and how to recognise characteristic patterns across cases. He will also discuss case-taking and analysis, identifying valuable symptoms, working towards the genus epidemicus, and lessons that recent epidemics, including COVID-19, can teach us. Jeremy Sherr is an internationally recognised homoeopath, teacher, researcher and author with decades of experience in classical homoeopathy. He founded the Dynamis School for Advanced Homeopathic Studies in 1986 and has taught students and practitioners internationally for many years. He has extensive experience working with epidemics, including clinical work in Africa through Homeopathy for Health in Africa.
